There is a thriving boarding community at Lambrook. The boys and girls are cared for in cosy and happy surroundings in the two boarding houses, Lambrook and Westfield.

Boarding is offered to children from Years 3 to 8. Resident housemasters, housemistresses and matrons are responsible for the children's welfare in the evenings. We offer several boarding options:

Boarding offers a complete educational experience. It combines the social, extra-curricular and academic aspects of school life in a way no other format can. The children become more responsible in their surroundings where they are able to organise their own free time constructively and use the full extent of the school’s facilities. This is overseen by the dedicated staff, most of whom live on site.

By living with children of their own age deep and long lasting friendships are made. It is possible for them to throw themselves into after-school activities without worrying if their parents can pick them up. They do not waste hours of the week on the school run. Doing their prep in the evenings at school, in a supervised and quiet environment, means they will be able to work without distractions. If they have trouble with their homework or have forgotten it, there is always a classmate or a teacher who can help.

Children choose to do ‘flexi-boarding’ because it fits in with sports, music or extra-curricular commitments. For some children and families, boarding dovetails conveniently with family commitments. The residential experience of regular flexi-boarding helps the transition to full time boarding.
