Westfield Saplings Nursery is for 3 and 4 year olds, located in Westfield House set in the beautiful grounds of Lambrook School. Here we provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment for your child that promotes learning through play. We use a wide range of resources, and allow children to develop their social skills as they play alongside each other.

When your child starts Nursery, it is an important time for both of you. On this website we hope to explain a little about ourselves and perhaps answer some of your questions. You are always welcome to come in and chat to the staff and see what we have to offer.

Children

There is a maximum of 16 children per session. Our staff encourage, facilitate and support the children while they play, talk about their experiences and help them share their enjoyment with others, enabling the children to become more confident and independent.

Parents

We regard our relationship with parents as a partnership. Communication is very important and in everyone's best interests. Unless you wish to raise a matter of some urgency affecting the coming day, please talk to the staff after the session has ended rather than before, when we are busy with the children. There are parent-teacher meetings every term.

Staff

All staff are dedicated, caring and experienced. The Managers both hold Level 3 qualifications, and in line with school policy additional training is provided for staff to continue their professional development, keep up with new initiatives and consolidate their areas of expertise. Staff are trained in Health and Safety, Child Protection and First Aid. We comply with OFSTED'S staff/child ratio of 1:8.
