Any parent or guest who has been fortunate to come to the school sports day with a picnic on a hot June day will know how lovely the grounds are. Now we have a large all-weather surface to play various games on, the facilities are quite outstanding. As well as the cricket and football pitches, we have a sports hall, tennis courts, nine-hole golf course, squash court and swimming pool.
In the prep school the boys play one term of soccer, one of rugby and one of cricket, and can also enjoy tennis, basketball, hockey, athletics, cross-country running, and judo.
The girls play netball and rounders, as well as PE, hockey, swimming, dance, athletics, judo and tennis.
In the Pre Prep children start playing most of the sports listed above, but in an appropriately gentler format.
Competitive fixtures are held with such schools as Bishopsgate, Caldicott, Crosfields, Eagle House, Elstree, Eton End, Hall Grove, Horris Hill, Hurst Lodge, Ludgrove, Moulsford, Papplewick, St George’s Windsor, St John’s Beaumont, St John’s on the Hill, Summer Fields, Sunningdale, Upton House, Woodcote House and several others.
