Welcome to Lambrook. Within this website we hope to share with you a flavour of our home, a modern-thinking, co-educational school, set in beautiful grounds in the Berkshire countryside. ![]() Headmaster, James Barnes and his wife Elizabeth There has been a school at Lambrook in Berkshire continuously since 1860. In 1997 it joined with Haileybury Junior School in nearby Windsor to become Lambrook Haileybury, and has recently been renamed to just Lambrook. Although we are close enough to London for pupils to come from there, the countryside setting allows us 43 acres of grounds and playing fields (which include a 9-hole golf course). We are one of the best-resourced independent preparatory schools in the area. Since the merger we have been implementing a development plan and so far have completed a well-equipped Science and IT block, a new Pre Prep building, an all-weather pitch and a senior classroom block built round a refurbished squash court. The school has high academic standards and is outstandingly successful at achieving places in your first-choice schools at Common Entrance. We also get excellent results at Key Stages I & II and at Scholarship level. The children enjoy a full programme of academic work, opportunities for creative expression in music, drama and art and a wide variety of sports, each activity providing a happy balance to the others. The main intake ages are 4 and 7, but entry can be considered at any age. Most of the children attend on a daily basis, but the school offers very flexible termly, weekly or occasional boarding arrangements. When the children leave for their senior schools they are confident and well rounded, looking back on a rich and happy time here. Lambrook School Trust Ltd 898539 309098 |
